Your Beginnings at ADEL Holding. What were the challenges you faced in your beginnings, which are they now?
Challenges as at the beginning of my career in ADEL Holding are now almost the same, so I always say that my point of view and my intention towards the development of my career and in parallel the positive contribution to ADEL Holding companies has been of the nature of development and management operating, creating and proposing new business ideas by implementing them up to the process of overall development and monitoring their overall performance.
One of the first challenges was the overall management of the Talenta marketing agency, starting from completing the portfolio with new clients and organizing the current ones, all this came thanks to our professional team that has always mastered analysis and investigation skills market, serving our clients first as “full-service” marketing agencies, very helpful consulting services for their products and services, competition, and market conditions in general.
Now with a lot of boasting, I say that besides Talenta, which serves as an internal marketing agency for fulfilling marketing needs for all companies that are part of ADEL Holding, also counts many national and international clients, in common reference with our company for outdoor or advertising external Media Screen owned by ADEL Holding.
Then, the next challenge was the establishment of the Enea distribution company, which featured a wholly new activity at our Holding. During the establishment, we as a management team on the one hand had a burning and uncompromising desire to achieve success that certainly did not come overnight, on the other hand besides the rational problems such as the complicated administrative and institutional procedures for placing food on the market, unrealistic competition, lack of human resources, and many other different trials that were still harder than before when we found ourselves as inexperienced, above all I think creativity, courage and self-confidence were what made us realize that the problems are themselves “nectar” of development business, which needs to be overcome, processed and simply counted as a working tool for development.
While the biggest challenge that is still being experienced in my career is that of my commitment and full commitment to our construction company Eurovia.
I can describe it as a very rich experience, all of this thanks to our mission and our starting point to declare this company as a national and regional leader in the field of real estate and capital investment, construction industry, structuring and design for all civil projects, industrial and hydrotechnical projects.
Challenges are numerous, but the most important ones have been to provide high commercial value by offering indisputable quality to new contemporary standards in the market, offering integrity to our associates with professional technical and financial consulting, as well as ensuring overall performance of the construction activity in accordance with the quality requirements and standards to our customers.
Describe the main daily tasks of an Operating Director?
Duties and responsibilities of an operational directorate are numerous, but they can not be feasible without the help of my colleagues who make up our company divided into departments like:
Technical Department that leads the main activities of design, construction, surveillance and preventive work during field work.
Finance Department that manages and leads the financial and budgetary procedures set by the board of directors of ADEL Holding, the compilation of company policies related to expenditures and budget revenues, etc.
The Legal Department, which is tasked with drafting legislation in its entirety, legal acts determined by the board, verifies and ensures compliance with the basic principles of jurisprudence, and so on.
While the main tasks of an operating director are:
Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers by providing a quality standard of service to them;
Design and implementation of business operations;
Assistance in compiling and defining the company budget, of the projects separately, as well as their monitoring;
Assistance in drafting and defining the terms of contracts to suppliers and customers;
Supervising the company’s business and the work of its executives;
Monitoring of field work performance, customer requirements and their fulfillment in parallel to operational needs;
Helps the fundraising fund department
Preparation of analyzes, periodic reports on the implementation of projects, measurement of technical performance and fulfillment of financial obligations between contracting parties, but always protecting the interests of the company.
Strengthening and expanding operational segments in the market and trading of businesses with new products and services.
How do you manage stress and the difficulties you encounter during your work?
Being aware that work stress is an inherent part of the routine of daily activities, as well as a normal “response” to events that make us feel threatened if we assess that we will not be able to become feasible towards well-defined, in the most serious cases I try to treat it as an energy that is necessary to function as a whole. I know that the spontaneous response to stress is manifested in two ways: to fight, or bypass it. I almost always react in the first way, so I struggle to achieve the purpose and the sense of control with greater self-confidence, staying focused, energetic and alert.
Stress management is defined as control over my thoughts and emotions, distinguishing between the works that are inalienable and those who can expect little to realize, altering or adapting the situation in general, the causes that generate stress, and accepting finally things as they are and can not be changed.
According to your experience so far, what are the advantages and disadvantages of being part of a large group?
According to my experience, I prefer to be part of a large group, counting several advantages:
Standardization, innovative technological and quality implementation have a greater tendency to be achieved by defined budget capability than small companies as a whole;
Bureaucracy, which makes every employee feel secure and organizational, bureaucratic at work and in his private life.
Greater opportunities for specialization and professional and moral upgrading, development and expediting education at work.
While disadvantages:
The continued growth of multi-sectoral structuring of the group, I think, makes it difficult to implement the requirements for updating or changing the functional version as a whole.
How does Faton Idrizi starts off his day, how do you spend your free time ?
Almost every evening, I plan things I have for tomorrow, at least for the first few hours of the day. During the business days I start my day with a cup of coffee with my colleagues, whilst my free time I try to dedicate it to my children, to the fullest. In the evening after I get back from work or during the weekend I go to the gym.
What advice would you give young people who want to become part of your group, what qualities should they have and how do you motivate your employee?
I think everybody with no distinction can become successful, but all this depends on themselves if they really want to. It should be noted that today, those who are responsible for their self-seeking ambitions, who are courageous, persistent and cooperative, survive on the market, so with deep conviction I say that after a while, whoever can find himself climbing his career stairs in any company, certainly in ours too.
